I get to the range early and already there are six shooters there. Here I am setup at 50 yards. I have a chamber flag because it’s a ceasefire. If you look close you can see someone down range.

.......and with ten round magazines. I don’t like the ten rounders because I have to shoot with the magazine behind the benchrest.

I start at 50 yards.

I used 100 yard targets for both distances. Using 100 yard targets at 50 makes the groups look smaller. But the gauge tells the real story.

The turrets are for high velocity and I was shooting stardard velocity. From previous experience I’ve learned this is the correct setting for 100 yards with SV.

This was my best target at 100. All targets were ten rounds except for this one which only had eight. I was getting tired and felt a couple wild shots coming.

Some very nice groups, there, Gene. I'd say you deserved that treat at the end.

I had that scope at one time and that's the setting I also used for SV at 100 yards. Traded it off and always figured I could get another, then Nikon bails out on making scopes. Oh, well.

That group in the very last photo looks real good to me. I think that maybe the best group of all Gene

Good shooting.
Thanks however 1/2” to 1” groups at 50 yards is just fair. The rifle and scope is capable of sub quarter inch groups with the ammo I was using.

I have two of those. The other one is on a Henry Classic.

To me, any day at the range is a good day. If nothing else, I typically enjoy shooting!
