Afternoon,

Well a couple of weeks ago Ranch Roper provided instructions on adding pictures, as a reply to my first range report-so if this works THANK YOU Ranch Roper.

A different spot in the National Forest outside of Coeur D'Alene, no breeze, mid 60 this morning and bright clear sun. The result was as the pictures will demonstrate--p*** poor. Oh well some days I am good and others just not "feelin' it". I hold only myself to account, well one notable ammo issue my CZ 22lr really doesn't like federal cheapo stuff or even CCI Stingers. But LOVES Lupua.

All rifle shooting completed at 40 yards, standing, no sling. Pistol shooting was holster drawn, double tap, and re-holster as 5 yards and 10 yards.(measured) The Gong Show is really just for my enjoyment/gratification. I really like the audible even with plugs in the ears. I need to start a list of things to work on at the next session LOL.

Want to see "minute of pie plate"??

Nice work great photos. Love the CZ. Wish I would have bought one when I had the chance. Found a 22 mag in a full stock but would rather have the LR

Not bad Paratus as we all have those days .... well maybe not big RR!
Is that Henry carbine a .45 Colt or .44 Mag from noticing the size of the holes? Looks like you have the pistol all sorted out from the gong hits!
Most times I can hit the steel better than a well grouped paper target of shots.

Big Al-yes the CZ in the manlichter stock is great fun; in the words of a good friend shooting it at 60 yards-" well that is just taking candy from a baby...."

RR-I certainly stand humbled looking at your targets and that is being generous to myself!

Fortyshooter-yes a 44mag, I continue to shoot high and I believe I am fudging my sight picture-old habits. Or said another way trusting instruments is a learned skill when navigating aircraft or my old world, boats. Accepting and applying the sight picture is a skill I need to acquire for the Henry. The scope on the CZ is cheating. I have worked on the pistol for numerous rounds and can shoot like that on "weak days" and tighten it up on good days. The sig eats any old stuff with not much variance, today was blazer and a mix of assorted all target/plinking rounds. I was surprised how adding the holster draw element and target acquisition changed the whole process ...dramatically, and obviously the result.

Next session i will provide better looking targets, famous last words.....

That-you for a nicely done range report and always appreciate when someone shares their shooting results, even when having one of those not feeling it days, though some of those targets are still impressive. Believe me, I know how demanding offhand shooting can be. If that's one of your not feeling it days, eager to see what you can do on one of your good days. Love those guns, too.

Offhand is definitely a hit or miss adventure. Looks like you did quite well. I recently shot a 455 FS in 17. I was kneeling and used a post to steady the rifle or I doubt I could hit paper.

That's why I shoot from 1 knee....off hand standing is more like my golf game....
