No wind, 20 rounds of 6.6 gn Universal, 200 gr LRNFP.
15 yds, 1 hand. 12 rounds at the middle diamond bullseye, and the other 8 on each corner target.
Considering arthritic hands and a bad elbow, can't complain too much. This pistol has the rear sight v-notch in the hammer, and an 8" barrel.

but those eyes and steady hand still work for you RR ! Great job!!

when you first introduced your 1860 SA Richards Conversion Revolver to the forum, it fascinated me .... as a result, I did a bunch or reading about it .... since then I've had an opportunity to hold one and I quickly became an even stronger fan of your ability fire yours with such precision

I like the big army grip versus the smaller navy one. It is a nice revolver to shoot.

until you mentioned it, I didn't remember the larger grip .... what I do remember is the notch on the hammer that serves as the rear sight .... it must take dedication and lots of practice to master it

Yep...that ain't much to sight with!

It's about 10" between the front and rear sights. Once you get used to it, it works ok.

I have a Depression era or older 32WCF (32-20) SA Colt Bisley model with a grooveed topstrap rear sight.
I have pics of my Mom and me plinking at a creek about 40 years ago. I handloaded the ammo back then. I recall that we got pretty good with it @ 20 yards. Fun times!!! My paternal grandad bought it used during the Depression in order to do some night watchman job. My Dad used it in Venzuela right after he got back from Pacific theater (1946). Him and a friend spent a year down there. Shell Oil was adamdent about 2 things you had to have. One was clean Khakies and the other was you had to be armed. The natives were shooting from out of the jungles at the workers. Dad did say he shot that old pistol a few times. The pay was very good.
