First Time with SGC!

Post by ace73 » Sun Jul 03, 2016 9:45 pm

After cleaning the barrel, I was off to my local indoor range!
All my shots were sitting, elbows on the table.

My target is all set up, a box of Federal and binoculars to see 25 yrds!

My first 10 rds shot at 15 yrds to see how the Skinner sights work!

And the dot torture target at 15 yrds.....

First time at 25 yrds!

And after 150 rds, I was getting use to the sights!!

A total of 200 rounds without any problems and a lot of fun!
Now I wish an outdoor range was closer!
Oh, the dot torture target, even with a red dot was just a blur at 25 yrds!

From one SGC owner to another...
Very cool Range Report, and very good shooting for the first time out!
And the best part...
A total of 200 rounds without any problems and a lot of fun!
The SGC is a great Henry, isn't it?

P.S. I really like your "dot torture target." I have a four-target set up like that, and need to use it next time I shoot the SGC. It's a fun challenge. ;)

I have one of the same rifles and I really enjoy it. I did put a Skinner .500" high blade front sight on it. The post seems to show clearer than the bead did for me. I set it to aim dead on at 25 yards with Remington Golden Bullet LR.
