It's done...The Bullseye Saloon Arcade is open!!

Post by fortyshooter » Sat Jun 13, 2020 4:43 pm

Finally got my Saloon build finished and setup at my range!
Many thanks for my son Chad who was able to help with setup and he enjoyed the first shots with my Henry 357 BB.
First time he had shot this rifle and he LOVED it! Ghost ring sight made it easy to pick up the targets. You must qualify on ol' Deadwood Jr. before entering the Saloon area! Chad finished up the face of the ol' bulls head...great shootin' son!! :D
https://youtu.be/CsKv8bIfLr0

Also must mention BIG THANKS to Hunter Moon Targets of Va. for the great and fast work on the steel you see. Check him out for targets!!!

I wasn't to bad with the Cimarron Evil Roy revolver on those bad ol' cowboy guards in the upper windows. What is cool is the backdrop target
card flips back down after the cowboy is hit giving another target opportunity!

Those beer bottles can be a challenge too.

We were pressed for extended shooting time since Chad had some work related business to attend to but we did get some big time FUN
out of the Bullseye Saloon today!

That looks like a fun time right there. I can see me sittin there sippin on a sarsaparilla and then ol Deadwood Jr. startin a ruckus that inevitably ends up with me havin to show him a thing or two.

I forgot to mention we were shooting my 38 Special +P load using the MB coated 158 gr. RNFP bullet loaded with 5.5-5.6 Power Pistol powder.
It appears to be a nice accurate load for both the Henry rifle and my revolver.
More shootin' at the Saloon to come!

Thanks for the comments! It all started from looking at these two remains of an old parade float my neighbor was throwing out.

Thanks roddy! Hoping to get back down there soon for more shootin'. Most likely some rough necks have taken the place over since last time I was there!
