Behind the barn 02/12/20

Over to the barn this morning in a short break in the weather.
Tried out a fortyshooter load, 8.5 grs Unique.
Not to bad, kind of a rushed deal though. ;)
Circle right top was the first three, shot those checked the spoting scope, cool.
The other circle was the next three, and the two not circled were the last two, barrel warmed up a little maybe, or heck could've just been me.
Other than the quick glimpses at the scope the two times there wasn't any cool down time.
Not bad forty, I will definitely load some more later.
Edit: forty brought it to my attention, 50 yds distance. ;)
Thanks

Oh yeah. ;)

It did off the back porch earlier in the pouring rain.
The first two of the three I shot were touching also.
I like it, and I save a full grain of powder per load of what I have been loading. ;)

Hmm, I just happen to have 20 loaded up like that. Musta borrowed[stole] that load from forty. They'll be getting shot along with some 165gr RNFP in my 30-30 Mod 94. 165's are coated Missouri jobs. Nice little group there Randy!

Glad you enjoyed that load! What was your target distance? That's my standard Colt 45 load for my SA revolvers and my Uberti/Winchester 1873 rifle.Oh yeah and the "paint can" load too! https://youtu.be/mWitnKetLVc
I have tried the Red Dot load too about same accuracy but a bit less speed.
