Another range day with my 357 Big Boy.....

Perfect weather for shooting so brought my BB down to shoot up 100 rounds of Remignton 125 gr JSP and some of my MB 158 gr. loads...generating
brass for my 180 gr. loads.
No paper targets today...just shooting the steel. I had 2 target areas set up one with the dueling tree and gong and pumpkin...the other with a field of assorted steel targets.
Also some good shots of my speed loader tubes in action and a little hike down a trail where I heard a 2 liter might be hiding!
Another thing I wanted to try was shooting those MB 180's thru my S&W Model 66 revolver and very happy to say they shot well and left a clean bore!
Hope you enjoy the videos!

Pumpkin shot with Remington 125 gr. JSP...those things had some speed and really worked those AR 500 paddles!

ITs Henry forums own version of Hickok 45. Nice shootin on the steel forty. I notice those steel plates on the ground had no issue with fallin over. Even the Coyote didnt hesitate. Nice to come home and be watchin Forty on the TV. Im thinkin in my 357 those 180's are going to be a regular. I have some Zero 158 jacketed also that shoot very well but not as good as the 180's.

Al, the 180's of some variation is about all I have been shooting for the past few years.
I have 500 158 gr cast, probably a swc, as I can't remember,
that's been sitting on the back off the bench for I don't really know how long.

The box isn't even opened. I just keep grabbing the 180's.

Thanks guys! I was using my GoPro camera with my head mount for some of the videos since I haven't used it in a good while along with my ipad camera.
One thing I had forgotten was how much power those Remington 125 gr. JSP rounds can carry after looking at some of my tree paddles...nice dimples!
I was 25 yds. back when shooting the tree and should have been back a bit more when using them in a rifle....duh!
Those thing really hit the AR 500 steel!

Pretty good dimple. Is that a 1/2" thick target?
I've been impressed with some heavy cast bullets loaded warm in the 444 at 50 yds.

Yes those 180 MB bullets can be an addiction! They will be the main plinking and woods SD round with that nice big flat nose for a .357 bullet.
I need to run them over the chrony and see what speed I getting out the rifle. There is room to bump the load up a bit.
And they shoot really good out of the Smith too...happy about that!
Should have a 500 box coming end of the week. Need to pick up more Starline brass too!
Thanks to Rifletom for sharing that load!

When I went up in that load, the groups started opening up.
11.2- 11.4 were my best with that powder.
You may have better results.
