Looks like a great way to spend an afternoon.

The 4th video is the one of the paint can vanishing after a hit with the Hornady 325 round. Never did find the can!

No bullet casting yet Big Al. I buy those from Matt's Bullets and yes they do pack some punch on both ends but they still in the Springfield load range.
Can you imagine what the higher loading would be like....ouch!
Next time I might try the porch rocker!

From these videos you can see that the 13-14 gr of Unique is the prefered comfort load for 405 gr. 45-70 shooting!

Now I have to work on my groups as I hear Va. counties are starting to form local militias again.
That's all I will say about that.

Yeah I wish I could find a way to slow motion the video but don't think I could do it with the Apple I-pad setup.
I'm working on getting my GoPro going again with my new computer. On the old one I could edit slow motion.

Also in that video my neighbor from down the road stopped bye, he knows to blow the horn before entering my range area, maybe he caught a glimpse of a flying can!

Did you notice in Pt.3 when trying to hit the coyote with the 500 gr. rounds the blast was moving the camera after every shot...it was tilting back.
What a blast!

Put about 67 grains of 2fg swiss under one of those 500 gr bullets Forty. Of course you would need some proper BP lube and a vegie card wad. Touch that off and see what you think.

Got me thinking now.... and put wheels on it with a trigger string!

Yes . Used it when loading up Alliant Black MZ BP substitute.

I sometimes think of the withering 500 grain volley fire the Trapdoor rifles were designed for. More like mini mortars.
