Re: Home Range Rest
Great idea for keeping rifles safely stored on the range!

Yep - I like the ingenuity of using what is on hand.
A simple suggestion however you might want to take a 1 X and cut some corresponding 'notches' in it and fit it to the base to secure the buttstocks as well. OR you could cut a series of some 3/4 square and screw them at measured spaces along the base to do the same.

Re: Home Range Rest
Looks good PJM.
Especially because you can fold it flat. Just wondering if any scoped rifles you might have will clear the lower shelf?
By the way, nice to have that shelf for ammo and range gear as well!
This is one I built a while back. Considerably different.
Last pic was taken right after I won the wind vane from 3'rd anniversary forum drawing. I just put it there temporarily for the photo op. Sorry pics are dark. Stand only cost me about $14.00, which was the cost for screw in coated hooks, ( WalMart ) including black stain. Had the scrap wood on hand.
I really like your idea though! I have two sets of fold up saw horses, so might use your idea for a second one.
Thanks for the idea
