Today was the second time out with my new-to-me 35 Remington Marlin 336. I was very happy with it last week, but today was even better. I brought 20 rounds of Remington Corelokts with me, and shot 18 of them at 100 yard steel targets. I scored hits on 16 of my shots. (The other two rounds I let buddies at the range shoot).
The XS ghost ring sights work surprisingly well, even for a old guy like me. For some reason, I am shooting this rifle better than any other rifle I own.
Oh, and as a bonus? Those big 200 grain boolits really thump that steel, and I knocked two of them down today.
Happy New Year All!

I looked real close at a 336 stainless steel before setting my sights on the Henry. Nice rifles. I think they got over the Remlin days from what some guys say. Sounds like you had some fun!

RR, Remlin quality seems to be getting there, but my "new" Marlin was born in 1970.
As for Henry, I really wish they would make a 35.

Glad to hear that you are enjoying your Marlin and finding that the accuracy is superb! I find my two Marlins to be likewise.
