Had a pleasant day at the club range Monday. Shooting a meeting people, talking lever guns.
Took me Marlin '84cl in 25-20WCF and Winchester '92 short rifle in 357 mag.
Had some test round to compare and some assorted 357 loads that needed to be recycled.
The 84, I compared a H110 load and some H4198 loads varying up and down 1/2 grain from 9-10.5.
The H4198 at 9.5g performed the best for me
The 357 were h110 wild to some A2400 mild. My favorite loads of 125g and 158g bullets over 9.3g A2400 stood out.
I was first to arrive at the range a couple fellas got there as I was setting up.
I was ready and it looked like there ready so I walked over to coordinate and saw their lever guns.

Were there any folks shooting 1911's or M1 carbines/ Garands?
Sounds like a nice range.

Veterans Day for me brings memories of gathering with several friends for pheasant hunting. Sadly, a memory now. Friends moved on, birds too. Bummer.

Lots of guns but ok did notice vintage1911s and M1s though I don't think carbine. Also a WW1 Springfield and a Trapdoor.

Fixed the typo tange to range. Unless you mention it to be tange. Anyway glad you had a good day with the smell of burnt gunpowder.
