Today At The 'Range'

Post by Mistered » Sat Nov 02, 2019 6:04 pm

Got out for a bit today to stretch the legs of the 1899 Winchester and it did not disappoint!
I was able to get some fair results with the sight combo I installed but I think I am going to put a globe on it with a rear tang.
Shot this five shot, (55 yard approx) group after a couple 'orientation' shots.

Nicely done.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Love it. A tang and a globe would be cool, though. Just something about that vintage sight setup on an old classic.

Good shooting there. What was your load? I'll be heading out to the desert this coming weekend. Can't wait!
