Mixed bag

An improvised target at 25 yards. All Berry's plated.
1895CB 45-70 350gr 16gr8 trailboss.
Paper was off sand bags.
Ram swinger some off the bags, some off hand.
Henry BBB 357 125gr and 158gr using A2400.

Nice shooting, there. Would love to see how that 45-70 swings the ram.

Very good results! I didn't know Berrys made plated .45-70 bullets. Did you taper crimp the .45-70?
I use the typical hard cast 405 gr. bullets in my Marlin and 1895 High Wall.

I use a taper crimp but the 45-70 does come with a cannulure.

The Ram has a fine tone when hit. I landed 4 in a row several times but never made that fifth one sing.
The Trailboss didn't heat up the barrel like shooting low end H4198 loads did.

I shot several boxes of the Missouri Bullet Company coated 300gr and 405grs.
The Barrys I can get at my LGS.

I had great results Shooting my Big Boy Brass 357 using 125g and 158g over 9.3g and 12g of 2400.
Shooting ten shot groups The 125s were tighter but the 158s were not bad. Trying to get something close to 38s for Pistol Class. Now I'll have to see if they knock down the target.
I bought a Magnto Speed chronograph so I will use that next time at the range.
