Saturday in my necka the woods is looking pretty good - 46 predicted so I suspect the new 4Runner & some guns will be getting a workout as well!

Storm headed our way for the next few days, but, hopefully, may be able to get out on New Year's.

I may take a pass. Wind and temps both in mid 20s Monday. Good idea though.

Several years ago I was part of a group that went camping on New Year's Eve.
We took our RVs to a favorite spot not far from town, set up targets and generators with lights on them and shot until close to midnight - then the guns got put up and the party started ! It was a GREAT time for all and we didn't care what the weather did!

The plan is to head out to the desert New Years Eve am and shoot. Taking the Henry .357 and Marlin 39A. Then, get back home for festivities. If I see 12:00 New Years, that might be a miracle. Early bird; both Zzzz'ing and waking up.
Happy New Year everyone!

Ugh...my wife now wants to go to Lethbridge on Dec 31st to see a movie for NYE.

So my last lead of 2018 will be on Sunday instead. Should be a cold, snowy, wintery shoot.

If the movie theaters in Lethbridge are anything like those in CT, be sure to bring ear protection and milk duds.

No liquids before or during for me. Movies have gotten to be so long I can't make it all the way through.
Theaters should bring back 'intermission'.

Update: Going well below zero on New Year's for us, so doubt I'll be doing any outdoor shooting.
