357 BBS - So Much Fun!

Had only been to the range a couple of times since deer season, so went back today to harvest some more 357 brass, continue to learn to tweak the scope for different ammo and just have some smiles!
This is Fiocchi 142 gr jacketed, truncated cone (they call it), so basically flat nosed range ammo. Odd bullet weight and not all that consistent, so tweaked both windage and elevation while letting the barrel heat up.
Finally dialed it in and here are the last 30 rounds from 50 yds, seated (no bags) with the Leo VX Freedom 1.5-4X20 (@ 4X).
Came home, decapped about 80 shells and have 'em going through the quickie rinse with Dawn, lemon juice, steel pins and hot water.
Sized 50 rounds from last time out and ran some new Hornady brass through the sizer, just because.
And, got an email that my free (Rebate) plinker 357 bullets have shipped, with expected arrival tomorrow (110 gr XTP), so I can start in on some of that within the next week or so!
Now to study up and figure out a load plan...

Top-of-the-line POIs, ESquared. Good job with your BBS.
But you'll need to get another plate for any holiday dinners! ;)

Isn't that just stupid? Talk about penny-wise and pound foolish. I'm burning through 30 bucks worth of factory 357 ammo and using sticky dots on top of paper plates on top of 5 cent newsprint pistol targets. Go figure!

No, not stupid. Spending dollars on upscale targets, means less dollars for ammo supplies.

It's interesting how we all choose to economize, isn't it?
