Took out the Ruger yesterday along with other recent purchase, a S&W 14-8. Shot at steel targets with both so no target to post but I'll say both shot very well. I had a trial getting the Ruger back together after getting it apart but think I've learned the secret. I really like that trigger on the Ruger...very nice. The S&W was a bit stiff for my liking but maybe I can get some work done on it. Had a great time.

Good for you, Jake. Speaking of Smith 14s, saw a vintage 14 at a local shop and it looked good at first glance, but closer inspection shoed it to be a re-blue job that didn't quite hide some pitting underneath. I passed on it.

Od all the Ruger Marks, the MKII was definitely my favorite. Great shooters and can't wear them out.
