Ruger 10-22

I took the Henry .327 to the range to day to sight in. The target looks like someone shot it with a shotgun! Anyway, it took a long time and won't post the target because one couldn't tell what the hell had happened anyway. I will say the new barrel doesn't shoot as accurately as the old one BUT the good news is the bulging cases are gone. I looked at the barrel crown and doesn't look like a good job. Rather than send back again I'll try to get it done locally. JEBAR put me onto a good smith so I'll try to get that done down the road. I did put a new Burris Fullfield II scope on the Ruger 10-22 and got it sighted in fairly well. Here's the target at 100 yards, 100 rounds, using Federal 40 gr. plated bullets (710).

That is really discouraging SJ. I mean won't even group?
On the other hand some amazing stuff with that 100yd group with the Ruger. Hard to imagine that many rounds without a flyer. Says a lot about the ammo as well as the shooter.............

If interested, see Photo Testing topic for pictures from cell phones to post right side up.

Seems common to most phones, when taking a picture orient lens on cell phone to the left, cell phone home button to the right.

So which version of the 10/22 do you have and how do you like it?

I finally got it dialed in just OK. Not anywhere like the other barrel, but I'll take it for now. I'll get out with it again after loading up some more cartridges and see how it goes and post a target then. Maybe I was just having an off day with it.

Sorry to hear about your 327 issues, but glad to see someone posting about a 10/22. Bet a lot of folks, here, have one. Haven't shot ours in a long, long time. Nice work with that, one, Shakey.

That looks pretty good for an LR at 100 yards...
