Some 50 yd off hand standing work today. Tried some new ammo, Wolf 250 gr LRNFP reloads made by a company in Ontario. It was ok, and the price was right <70 cents a round. My 1860 Henry in 45 Colt. Open factory sights. My goal was to cycle through the multiple 5 1/2" targets and at least try to stay in the black. 50 rounds, I think they were all on black but I can only count 48 or 49 with another maybe finding the same hole somewhere. There were no holes in the wood off the paper that were 45C size. Anyhow, I was ok with the result considering the 35 mph wind speed today from the west. Wind going straight down range with my bullets more or less, but you never quite know how that lead will carry with the wind. Gorgeous day here in cow country, sunshine and 60F. The Henry worked flawlessly, and for anyone considering a Uberti made firearm; they are very high quality shooters.

Very nice for off hand shooting. I probably couldn't do much better with a rest. I need to get on with getting the orchard fence moved to my property line so I can shoot at longer ranges. I'm limited to about 30 yds where I shoot now.

Maybe RR could drift on down ur way Dave and give ya a hand with those fences. Ive seen RR fences right between badgers ears with RR's camera. There straight as an arrow and you could play a tune on that barbed wire it looked so good. Nice shootin again RR

Big 'ol thunderstorm rolling in right now. Good thing I went to the range early today.

I don't need to put up the fence, new orchard owner will move it when I mark the property line. Will be nice since it will not be very accessible except through a locked gate so I will be able to leave target stands and maybe some silhouettes up. Not a big deal, just have to get a friend to help me find a property hub, I know approximately where it is but haven't seen it since I used to ride my horse on the hillside game trails. Don't have a horse anymore and with my old knees, hips and bad feet I don't do hillsides very well.
