Fun Day on the Grass

Ok Im not as good of story tell as Badger is but I took out both SGC's today. First trip out for the new 22 mag. Got it dialed in shooting at 50 yards. No I dont have any target pictures to show because Im just not a paper shooter. I love smokin clay pigeons on the bank. But I do have a picture or 2 from my outing.
So here is one of the Pawnee Grasslands. I knew this shot would make Ranchroper feel right at home
This shot here is yes a target stand I take. I did today take out a bolt action gun in a 300 Blackout to put on paper with a scope on it. to the left of the target stand is where I do the clay pigeon demolition. You may be able see some of them broken up laying there.
Last shot is a little critter I found keeping me company while I was shooting. I think he might be lost. I got him to hold still for a shot and now he will be famous and on the world wide web.

Wow, I haven't seen a Horny Toad in 20 years. The fire ants down here in Texas has destroyed them and also a bunch of quail. Thanks for the pic, sure nice to see one again.

Actually, those pics make me feel right at home, too. Despite my current north woods location, I've actually spent most of my life on the prairie and those wide open spaces. I do miss them, so. Love my north woods, bit the great wide open will always be home to me.
Glad you got out for some shooting. Our club range only allows us to use paper, but at home, our air gun range is all steel and reactive targets. Shooting steel and reactive targets doesn't make for much of a show and tell in a range report, but who said every range report requires us to post targets? I enjoy hearing about the guns, the shooter and pics the location every bit as much as any target that was shot. Thanks for the report. Enjoyed it.

Looks like a good day on the grass. Looking on the map I’m about 125 miles south of you
