Today was one of my best rangeday with some friends of mine, Actually started off with noticing that I brought ammunition to 9mm and a 44mag revolver. You know my 9mm and 44mag also has a blueish case so I took wrong case so I had ammo for a 9mm and a 44mag gun. Anyway when among friends I got to borrow their guns, so I started with shooting a H&K USP Expert 9mm a really nice gun first time firing it. Shot around 5-6 5shots precision/bulls eye series with one hand at 25meters and got some decent groups for being first time shooting this pistol, really enjoyed it.

Then I tried another friends new Glock 22 gen4 40s&w with dawson fibreoptics sight, really enjoyed that pistol aswell a little stiff trigger but after 3 5shot series I got some decent grouping (didnt get any pictures of the results so no proof)

Then I stepped up to some trying my friends blackpowder Rifle an original Smith Carbine in .50cal something what a beauty and treasure Man what a fun rifle to shoot, the smell of blackpowder and its history.

I'm dying, here, with the beauty of some of those guns. That original 1911 has me swooning. Great work with that offhand shooting, too. Very impressive.

I am seriously thinking of renewing my back powder shooting when I see pics of those guns, here and on other forums. Why? Well, I certainly don't need another project, but every time I see pics of some of those old BP guns, I can smell that black powder and hear that very distinctive sound.

You have some really nice friends there, ruhler, to share such sharp-looking and historic firearms with you! I've never shot BP before, but do hear them go off at the range, watch the smoke drift in front of my shooting booth, and have noticed the BP smell, too.

Thats a 9mm. A little longer barrel, Marine I believe didnt catch the whole story about it couldnt stop staring at that 1911 it really got my attention.
