Well, I think I made it work. This is a target at 25 yards. I did use the rest for this for accuracy. Next step, soon I hope, will be to move out to 50 yards. Will let you know at that point. I am shooting plated round nose flat point at 158 g.

In my practice, I noticed that I have a quick reaction after the shot. I think this accounts for some of the inconsistency in my shooting. I will work on being steady.

Very nice. I love the skinner I put on my 357 Big Boy carbine. Just the ticket for old, ah... aging?, eyes.

not bad at all .... the more you shoot, the more familiar you will become with your rifle .... mixing some snap caps into your loading tube can tell you a great deal about any movement in the rifle when you pull the trigger

I don't know about the brand .... our son bought some that, except for being red plastic, physically look just like the ammo he's dealing with (9mm, 357, etc) .... if it will cycle, it will work
