Sighting in Big Boy 44 Carbine
We finally got around to sighting in the Big Boy 44 Carbine after installing a Lyman Globe front sight about a month ago. We used Federal 240gr JHP. Range was only 25 yds since that's what we normally shoot at (bottle/can plinking).
The first shot was three inches low. We raised the skinner rear peep two full turns and then shot the remaining six rounds - all "in the orange". We were looking for "one minute of bottle" accuracy and I think we did a little better than that.
We really like shooting this carbine - together with the skinner/lyman globe sights it is an absolute joy to shoot...

It sure looks like a joy to shoot with that kind of accuracy. Love the Skinner/globe combo. If I get one, that'll be my setup.

Lookin good! I bet that rifle is a lot of fun. I'd really like to get a Big Boy Brass Carbine some day. I'm not picky either. .357 or .44 mag is fine!
