Got the SA a few weeks ago and haven't had a chance to fire it yet. It and the Glock are going to my local indoor range after work tonight to get rid of some 9mm ammo. :D

I have a red dot sight installed on the Glock and needs to get sighted in. Should be fun.

Pictures at 11.

Would love to see how they compare, especially the new Socks that have the MOS system so you can mount a red dot. Please get us a range report if you can. Have fun.

Update: Range report Glock 19.

Disappointed in the red dot. I think there was too much paralax factor. I could not get the elevation setting to work as needed. The bottom group was when the red dot was aimed at the black center diamond.

The top group was when I aimed at the top of the top red bar even after adjusting the elevation setting several complete turns.

The center group was with using the iron sites.

The right group was aimed at the point of the right red bar while using the iron sites.

The red dot is off the Glock. LOL

Range Report: SA XD sub compact.

This target is actually upside down for convenience of snapping the picture.

First time out with this firearm and I ran roughly 45 rounds through the gun.

My goal was obviously the center but also to get 4 shots in each of the 4 quadrants (black and gray) in the upper half of the target. (Again the actual target is upside down. The top half of the target (not shown in this picture) was for the Glock.)

I think I did rather well. The groupings were where I expected them to be even though each shot wasn't very close to each other.

Interesting to note: the lowest shot in the bottom right of this target image was where I killed the clothes pin that was holding the target in place. That was a first.

The dot is being recommissioned for my next rifle purchase, whatever/whenever that may be.

Yeah I'm not a fan of optics on a semi auto pistol. I'm sure you can do just fine by focusing on the front site.

The Glock and the SA will most likely have different target holds. My Glock is a 6 o'clock hold and my XD is basically dead on.

Me neither now that I've tried it out. It looked cool but that was where the appeal abruptly came to an end. :D
