1st Range trip with the BB .357
1st Range trip with the BB .357
A great day with my son at the range and my my new Big Boy carbine. Started with 2 six shot groups at 25 yds. Not sure what I did with the other two rounds. it was operator error though.
Moved out to 50 yds. with this one. 2 seven shot groups
One more time at 50.
Cell phone pics so these are all rotated to the left 90degrees for some reason it. Was a bit breezy so no sight adjustments were made it was shooting a bit to the right and low.

You did well, thanks for the report and I know you will spend more time at the range with your rife, glad that you and your son could shoot together.

nice first outing .... what ammo were you using ? .... factory or reloads ? .... our Henry 357 is really a fun gun to shoot
Re: 1st Range trip with the BB .357
Glad to hear you and your son enjoyed the day together....always the best.
And your POIs for the first-time shooting your .357 carbine were all very good....great job. The .357 Henry is one fine-shooting rifle, as I remember how accurately my steel .357 Big Boy shot. They are a pleasure to own.....Congrats!

Nice shooting for sure. I have the full size BB, but the carbine sure looks maneuverable.

Glad you and your son had a good day at the range. That is worth more than the actual shooting, although that is pretty good.

I was using PMC .357 158grs JSP's. Went through about 50 rounds but never really improved on these groups. It handles and shoots great. It felt pretty good when one of the range officers stopped and said I won the award for the prettiest gun on the range, his exact words no kidding. My son was grinning when he ran it to. He's looking for a Henry 22 for his daughter now.JEBar wrote:nice first outing .... what ammo were you using ? .... factory or reloads ? .... our Henry 357 is really a fun gun to shoot

I'm glad you've had a chance to use your new BB, and your groups are looking good!
