I have a couple of those pull-to-cock rifles, and it does get you a little more focused on the round in the chamber. Both of mine have exceedingly long trigger pulls too, so that surprise break really is a surprise.

Great to see a range report from way out yonder in the Northwest! Very nice bolt action 22 shooter too! We are in Summer weather this week with highs in the mid 80's and high pollen count too. Hoping I can get out next week as it supposed to be 60's again with rain coming up on Easter Sunday.
I have a VERY special handgun to try out too....birthday present to myself!

That’s a good looking old rifle Gene. I do look through the vintage guns at local shops. Still haven’t found one that is in good enough shape to bring home.
