Another one on the hook

Clovispup and I went to the local indoor range we frequent this week. The fellow in the next lane was having a few problems and asked for some help. He had rented an AR and it was his second time shooting, first time by himself. I got him settled down on sight picture and his groups came down dramatically. I asked if he would like to try a rifle with a scope. He said "sure", and I pulled out the Henry Big Boy in .357. His first shot with it hit the quarter sized dot he was aiming for at 10 yds. He is thinking about getting into hunting, and will likely be buying a rifle in the near future. He had lots of questions about the Henry.

If Henry wanted to radically increase their sales, I think all they would need to do is offer free rentals.

Well done for helping a fellow shooter out. :D

Perhaps you should have a word with Mr Imperato. You might be able to get some commission from any referrals that you pass through! ;)

It was nice of you to help him out. Did you tell him to join here?

No, I was too busy trying to get him up to speed to mention the forum.

An AR may be an initimidating rifle to start with. A pistol caliber rifle makes a lot of sense. Especially a lever.

I see an awful lot of first time/inexperienced shooters renting an AR. They don't have any Henrys for rent.
