Yes we are enjoying a great stretch of pre Fall weather so off to my happy place to cut some grass and get to shoot some more!

A late morning session I brought along my favorite 44 Mag combo of the Uberti/Winchester 1873 carbine and the Ruger old style Vaquero Bisley 6 shooter. After I got myself dialed in both shot very well. Had an old metal ironing board that we haven't used in years and was going to trash it but found out it can made a great stand alone target holder....heck it already has holes in it! The load was an Xtreme 200 gr. plated RNFP over 9 gr. Unique.

Shot some steel and enjoyed a very good mid day in the country again!

Looks like the carbine likes that load better than the revolver....but it could be just me shooting! I use same bullet in my 1892 Winchester 44-40 rifle made in 1895 and it shoots it just as well as the Uberti 1873,

You and Sir Henry do a great job of repurposing items to targets. Looks like another wonderful day out on the range.

Thanks! Before I throw something away I look and think about it having target possibilities. Just part of the fun!
