Bisley Single Six and CB Shorts

I'm pretty fed up shooting Aguila Colibri in my Single Six revolvers and having to settle for lousy accuracy, so today being the 4th, I decided to switch to CB Shorts to see if there was a noticeable improvement in accuracy. To be sure, the CB Shorts are louder in a Single Six, but they sound like a small kiddie firecracker and this is the 4th, so I figured no one would notice.

This is a first year Bisley Single Six (mid 80s) that my husband usually shoots. That large Bisley grip is perfect for his big hands. I also shoot it and though I've never shot it for group size from a rest, I've always been able to shoot it offhand as well as my S&W 617, so it's about as accurate as a Single Six gets. This Bisley really is one of the top Single Sixes in our collection.
Started shooting the Bisely with the Colibri today just to get a baseline and sure enough, the usual Colibri disappointment. Switched to CB Shorts saw the Bisley strut its stuff. While no one ever claimed that CB Shorts are target grade ammo, it acts like target grade ammo compared to the Colibri. Very gratifying to see what the Bisley could do with decent ammo.
