Range Report: the smell of burnt powder

I was going to use Vintage Overton 10/22 as the subject but after shooting the smell of burnt powder jumped out at me.

It wears a vintage El Paso Weaver Marksman. I normally use the 15 round mags but felt it wouldn’t be right in this first full year production rifle. It belonged to my father-in-law and I inherited it.

It’s snowing and I didn’t want to get it wet so I didn’t walk far.

I like the title you chose better too. Very cool rifle. Stay warm there.

That classic 10/22 silhouetted against the bright snow is wonderful.

That's a collectible 10/22 in every way possible, a true treasure. Congrats.
