Sunday plinking and trailing....

Post by fortyshooter » Mon Oct 28, 2024 9:50 am

We have had perfect Fall days all of October and Sunday afternoon was another great one. Decided to blow the dust off of my Ruger SBH 44 Mag and my mini trailbike for a fun afternoon. That is all you need in the woods a nice 7 1/2 inch barreled Ruger 44 Mag on your side while riding the trail and later I got setup at 20 yds from target zone sitting on the bike hauler with 240 and 300 gr. loads and a non alcohol Coors Edge. Recoil did not bother me a bit with the big Ruger and hitting the targets from 20 yds seemed to be easy and relaxing.
That bottle shot was interesting in that the label held the glass together showing a perfect hit! Ripped up a pumpkin good along with the steel targets.
Rode down to the big end of my creek which is a nice fishing hole and still a good amount of water with a month of no rain!

Just a fine day to enjoy some Fall fun at my little place in the woods! :)

The way I see it is if the Great Pumpkin goes evil and trys to steal your candy and toys he is in for one mighty headache!

Looks like a perfect Sunday afternoon in the Virginia woods.

Nice work, forty.

Love the Super Blackhawk. Been shooting one from almost the very beginning of my hand gunning. The only time I notice the recoil much is when trying to shoot from a rest, which I only do for sighting in or accuracy testing.

Sounds like a nice afternoon.
I have a SBH, but mine is stainless and scoped.
