Perfect weather to get out and try my 38 Long Colt load in the .357 Henry and also the Colt 1872 OT in 38 Colt/Special. Basically a nice 38 Special powder loading with the MB 158 RNFP bullet at a longer seating length but in the older but cool 38 Long Colt brass.
The rounds shot very well with no hang ups in the Henry and the 5.2 gr. load of Power Pistol gives some nice groups with maximum speed for the 38 Special load level and still safe for the Open Top revolver. As you can see one of those shots thru the Henry knocked the Heart off it's hanger from 35 yds! I just like the way that round looks in the Colt brass and will be loading more!

Love those open top Colts. Every time I see one, it reminds me of various Clint Eastwood movies.

Very nice Forty. The Colt revolver is a classy firearm. That should bring you many fun hours of shooting.

Yep I like shooting that OT since I can swap it back to 44 Special in a few minutes with either the 3 inch or 7.5 barrel. But it was relaxing fun shooting those 38's!
