Test a new one and EDC Practice

The range dried out after a couple days of rain and I was able to get out and shoot just a bit. This would be the first time on the range since the last session working on it with the tractor and moving more dirt to fill in the pits made by the cow and donkey, it's looking a lot better. Not finished working on the lane, and certainly not finished building up the berm, but it's certainly fine to shoot on.
Today's pair will be a Taurus 1911 and my SIG P220, one of my two EDCs
I checked some 200 grain semiwadcutter hollowpoints with the dillon gauge and they passed, so they were the ones I used for the Taurus 1911 I bought a few months ago and had the new sights installed on. I shot two five shot strings at 10 yards, not bad for the first time with this gun. At least it grouped.
Satisfied, I moved back to the 15 yard line and shot three more five shot strings. They were still left, so I knew I needed to move the sights eventually, but they grouped about two or three inches left. I'll leave the sights for now in case it's the shooter. I thought I took a picture but didn't. I pulled two shots badly, for me. One 6" out and another 12" out. The rest were in a nice group, some tight in about 3" and the rest in five to six inches. Twenty five shots total, I put that one down and picked up the SIG.
I shot eighteen rounds at ten yards and was done. No need to shoot more, I will just keep shooting this one and the Smith M&P340 at each opportunity. But... the SIG and I are very familiar with one another. Let's just say Tina would want me to be holding the SIG if I needed to take a shot when SHE was the hostage.
If I didn't have the SIG I'd want to be holding a long gun. I hope to be shooting at Least once a week.
