Five Shot Group Update

Hey guys. I've been working recently on shooting five shot groups at 100 yards with my CZ 452. It has been very slow going. I quickly discovered that my new rifle is extremely accurate, and that it is actually somewhat easy to shoot tiny three shot groups with it. Once I move to five shots, the shooter's skill (or in my case, lack thereof) comes into play much more.
After about a week of shooting five shot groups, I can report that I have made very little progress. I tend to have one of two things happen. I either get a good group of three, but two outliers, or I get two good pairs with an outlier.
Today I got one decent five shot group that was very close to being a one incher. The rest were all best forgotten.
This project is going to require many, many hours at the range for the foreseeable future.

Keep tickling that trigger. Try thinking about each shot as if it is the first.

You got that spot on, ditto.
Practice...practice...practice...
Repeat as many times as it takes!
Range time will be
fun, too.

That is just too bad, I feel so sorry for you.

It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it!

Just think of all the enjoyment you'll have to look forward to.

Enjoyment!? This is hard work. And serious business, too! Not only that, but I could be doing this several times a week for years.

Good luck! Sounds like lots of range time coming up. I'm always pretty excited at my 1 shot groups...

Where can I sign up to be your range assistant?

Next time you're in Wisconsin, let me know.
