Good day today shooting 2" groups at 50yds. using Berry's 158gr. hp target and 7 grains of HP-38. It is a very mild load in the Henry Big Boy.
Today the range let me shoot the steel targets as well.
I managed to put 5 out of 10 shots in the splotch of white spray paint at 50 yards, it seemed easier than paper targets.
It was a good day.

The 357 Henry always a fun target shooter! I have great success with the MB coated RNFP 158 gr. cast bullets and Power Pistol powder.
Anyway good shootin' !

I have the 357 carbine, and even Miss Tina loves to shoot it. She was surprised at the low recoil. I added skinner sights and really improved the groups.

I scoped mine and it will keep up with any bolt rifle at 50 yards. Haven’t tried it at 100 but I plan to.

Sounds like a good day at the range. .357 rifles are a hoot.

Hatchdog, at 100 yards, you'll be surprised how accurate that ,357 will be.

I have Skinner Express on the rear and Andy’s Patridge on the front. It’s a fantastic combo on my carbine. Gives you a super long sight picture. If my .44 Mag carbine were as accurate, I’d be ecstatic. Maybe with the new 1:20 twist barrel it will be?

Shot my .357 carbine sunday a local (free) indoor range courtesy of the state. Shot about 100 rounds( American Eagle, 158 grain). Shoulder is a tad sore but worth it. I love that rifle!
