Trouble at the Saloon this morning.......
So I was headed down to the Bulls Eye Saloon this morning with what I think is my sweetest shootin' 45 combo...the Henry 45 Colt Carbine tube feeder
the S&W Model 25-7 in 45 Colt and one of my CCW .45 ACP shooters the brawny little BBR 3.1
I pull in near the Saloon and spot a very shady character messin around the door and stop him in his tracks whippin out my BBR 1911.
Ask him what he lookin for and he says some work. So I say here hold these targets while I take my shots and you better hope this is my lucky day punk!
Told the bandit in black to drop his irons and get back there some yards and don't dare move till I tell ya.
First up was the old style Heny carbine with 16 inch barrel stoked with my 325 gr 45 Colt heavy hitters. Love this a bit more than my newer X model 45 because it cycles the big lead slick as any with no hang up unlike the X Model you have to jiggle a bit. Think the old Henry has a better shell lifter as it is different than the X. About 30 yds back with the ghost ring sitting on orange dot and standing position not bad at all and the target holding thug lives another round!
Next is my Smith Model 25 shooting my 255 gr. MB bullets over 8.5 Unique. I forgot how smooth and quick the DA pull is on this Smith and several shots got off right before I was ready. All DA shooting I got several snake eyes on the target 12 yds away as Mr. Man in Black target holder was frozen in place and he lived again!
Last I shot my favorite 45 ACP shooter the Little Fat Boy BBR. With the right tight grip which is push forward with shooting hand and pulling back with weak hand you get a very rigid shooting platform which is required with this guy. Target boy down there was shaking in his boots now with the little beast pointed his way. Not bad at all with 7 shots of my carry load 230 gr XTP with 6.5 Unique...man love how it shoots!
So I was done and before I could tell the crud he could leave he was half way down the trail and don't think he's coming back no time soon!
Yep my favorite 45 shooters right here today!

That tough guy didn't like all those .45's coming his way! Outta here! forty, I use those tupperware containers for ammo too. Wife asks, "wheres the TW containers at?" Shrugs shoulders and mumbles, "I don't know."

Looks like another great day at the range forty, love the stories buddy.
I've had a mess of those heavies loaded for testing for quite some time now I need to see what my two rifles are going to like.

I slipped one into my SW M-25 revolver and they won't stick out the cylinder but have to see where the pressure rating might be before firing them in it. It is rated for 45 ACP pressures though and being an N frame revolver.

Glad to see you found some gainful employment for Bad Bart there at the saloon. Lucky for him you kept your sights on the target. Sure hope that scoundrel keeps away.

Looks like loads of fun Forty... I once offered the bad guy a job holding a target, just asked him to center it on the buttons on his chest, but he dropped the target and ran off into the sunset... People just don't want honest work these days.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
