Very nice old Winchester. I don't have any old Winchesters right now but that doesn't mean I don't like them. Had some model 69 A Wins. that were good shooters. I like the old walnut and blued steel guns. My wife and I have quite a few old Remington 22's and they get their turn at the range on days that we only take the older models. I call them our "fun guns". They bring back the old days of growing up shooting the old simple rifles and not the cheap feeling plastic rifles of today.

With no serial number I can’t tell. It’s not an early fingergroove and has the later chrome bolt so I’m guessing 1940 to 1945 which is the last year of production.fortyshooter wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 8:43 amThat is a very nice one Gene and the wood looks like new! What year was it built?

Most of those Winchester single shots weren't serial numbered prior to 1968. Only their higher end rimfires and other guns got serial numbers.
