Went back to shoot some trap again at backyard range. Did better this time (2nd ever) 4 rounds went 13-13-18-20

. Had one 5-5. Nice day and had a great time !! Some more pics of the range. To right of 4 wheeler and back is a 16" target, back in other pick at rest is 100 yards. H012S 1st shot missed, put front sight at top of Skinner peep and 4 hits of the 5 shots
Behind ridge is a reservoir (private city land) trees looking pretty. VERY peaceful place.

I have to go to the AFB to shoot skeet/trap. The have a range near the end of the runway. We have to go cold range when a plane is taking off or landing. We are far enough from the runway that I don't think you could hit them with shot, but them's the rules. When I was flying as a loadmaster in the reserves, I remember looking out the window and see the guys shooting skeet towards the aircraft. Well, I don't think they were shooting at the time we were landing, but they were all standing there facing us with their shotguns in hand.

NO, it's not MY backyard, it's a few miles away in a friend's yard
If it was in mine, all I'd ever do would be reloading and shooting

Either way it's nice to have that open space nearby. Looks like fun.

No doubt !! I'm very fortunate to have a close by place like this !! And Dude won't take a dime,
Just said " bring some clays next time !!
We went back to res. after shooting and set there and had a couple beers watching the fish jump.
Had a little breeze that day, but none in the valley where we shoot.
My shoulder was good w/the recoil pad this time !!
BTW the Henry stock front sight covered the 16" target completely at 100yd

So you were shooting 22LR at 100 yards at clays? I'm impressed.
I bought a box of clays (think I paid $16.99 for a box of 180 or so) and will bring them to the range when I go at the end of October. Planning on setting them up on the berm to pick them off at whatever distance I can manage! Not with a 22 though... I'll use my 357 and my scoped AR if necessary!
