Had a few things to do down at the range this morning and brought along the 45 ACP Bullpuppy to try out the brass catcher on the new mount.
Also brought along the Ruger Alaskan with some hot 315 gr. 45 Colt loads with 10 gr. Unique and the plinking loads of 255 gr. with 9.0 gr. Unique.
Good size black bear around so that was my trail revolver today.
The Bullpuppy worked fine today with no issue of the 20 rd. mags falling out and the sight still seemed to be right on the "club". :D
Shot some rounds with the Alaskan in quick Double Action from 12 yds. and that shot well enough.

Put the chips back in the trail cameras and also spread around some apple slices along with some deer feed in the area of the front porch camera.
From looking at the area where the bear was caught on camera last week he is a good size black bear since the brush around that spot is over 3 ft to 5 foot tall. Maybe he will pop in for some apple treat !

Yep the Alaskan no joke with those heavy 45 Colt loads...easy shooting too!

When I went down the trail to set up other camera I left the Pup in the truck and carried along the 20 ga. Coach DB with two rounds of 7 1/2 shot for any snake issues, of course the Alaskan tagging along in side holster. Nice morning to get out there.
