Made it to the range to see how I would do with this Colt. The trigger was smooth but long. I was shooting double actions, because that would probably be the most likely way that it would be used.
Overall, I like the firearm. Recoil was not bad, yet it let you know that .357s were being shot. Shot a total of 25 rounds, to get an idea of which brand might work best in it. So far, I am leaning toward Remington. At 7 yards, I was able to shoot a 1 1/2" using double action. I tried Magtech, Federal, Fiocchi, Independence (first time trying it), and Remington. Independence was not bad. But, I am not familiar with the brand. I bought it during the COVID lock down.
I got a couple of strays with Magtech and Federal. At first, I thought that it may be the ammo. When it happen again with a different brand, I suspect that it may be me. I was getting a little tired and ready to call it a day. Yet, any would probably due at 7 yards.
P.S. It is a six shooter. But, I only shot 5 rounds of each brand. I was trying the keep the rounds in the box multiples of 5.
