Today was the second time out at the range with the new CZ 452 and Leupold 2-7x28 scope. Tried CCI Mini-mags, Federal HV Match, CCI Standard Velocity and Wolf match ammo. Got some good results for the first "serious" effort. EDIT: Just noticed I got the date wrong on my target. Oops.

Very nice rifle and scope combination. The 2-7 Leupold looks like it was made just for your rifle. I have the same scopes on a few of mine. Also great shooting at a 100y with your new rifle. Have fun!

Good fit on the new CZ and scope, ditto. And I especially like the nice checkering on that great-looking wood.
A small amount of practice, and that orange square will be gone!
Excellent shooting for the second time out.

My first thoughts were "Wow what a nice gun and what an awesome group at 100 yards". Very nice!!

You missed the dime! Just kidding that is great shootin' and I'm amazed that you could get them with high velocity ammo. I would have thought the Wolf to do much better. Was the Wolf from Russia or Germany?

My friend had the Wolf ammo, and I didn't look closely at the box. Next time, I will check to see exactly what kind it is. He bought a case of it awhile back, and really likes it. I only shot five or ten of them today, not enough to tell whether it made a difference.
As for CCI Mini-mags, for some reason my Henry likes the 36 grain HP's, so I buy a lot of them. They seem to do surprisingly well at 100 yards.

I had noticed you were shooting HP Mini-Mags and was thinking the 40 grain SN would be better. But like you say the rifle picks the ammo, not you.

I have usually mostly bought the 40 grain round nosed Mini-mags, but this summer I discovered that my H001 really likes the HP's.
Oh, and I checked on the Wolf ammo at the range today. It is from Germany. It's a funny thing. With center fire ammo, wolf is known for cheap steel cased Russian ammo, but with .22 LR, their ammo is top shelf.
So far, my new 452 seems to be showing excellent accuracy potential, but thankfully for my pocket book it has not shown a propensity for shooting expensive match ammo.

The Wolf ammo you shot was not made by Wolf but just sold by them. The ammo was made by SK and is very similar to Norma and RWS.
