Another SONday at the range !

Post by fortyshooter » Sun Mar 19, 2023 7:20 pm

Boy I do enjoy those special Father and Son days down at the range when they come around!

My son called yesterday that he wanted check out his Sig P365 before the road trip down to Atlanta with his family. So I said Sunday would be perfect and I would bring along my 1872 OT snubby and the Mini 14 since he had not shot it with the new folding stock.

Didn't take him long to get dialed in again with the little 9mm Sig with the green dot optic and those fast little Underwood Penetrator rounds that
were impressive from the short barrel.....watch spaghettiOs fly here https://youtu.be/pQ0m5wDCax4

I didn't do bad with the short barrel Colt Open Top with my .44 Special Red Dot loads with some good hits point shooing....no front sight...and
son Chad hit the steel with it first shooting it.

The Mini 14 was shooting great also with no issues and is handy to have with the folded stock and the EoTech sight.

Really enjoyed a great time with my son when he can get away for an afternoon!

Can't wait for the weather to warm up here. Lot's to shoot. We have had the rain we needed to fill the pond and put water back in both creeks. The grass is green again. Spring is coming. Won't be long. :D Great shooting guys... Good on the boy for checking his EDC BEFORE heading out on a trip. Not everyone thinks to do so. How many do we KNOW that will buy a new gun, a box of ammo, new holster, and load up and call it good. Not even check the sights? Sad.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
