Range Report: tired of Winter

Post by Sir Henry » Sat Mar 04, 2023 10:45 am

My range setup being so close to the house is working out great as it tends to make me shoot almost daily. Seldom is a day at home when I don’t shoot.

I think the biggest problem is I didn’t get enough targets out before winter set in. All I have above snow is the frying pan at 50 yards and a bullet trap at 25 yards. This picture looks so much like my last dozen reports.

Spring like day here Gene, 😉 54 degrees and full sun.
Gonna shoot these here shortly.
I just changed out the scope on that 30-30, had a 3x9 Nikon. Now it's wearing a Redfield Revolution 2x7, like the other store brand Marlin. 😉

Randy, what are the rifles leaning against? Old style stereo cabinet? Looks nice. As do the rifles, of course.

No, it's the Ashley wood stove.

Thanks for the complement, Gene.

Yep springtime in the 60's today around here but windy though. Going to air rifle plink at The Back Door while out grilling later and then down to my range tomorrow to shoot the Colt Anaconda since the cross draw holster came in the mail this morning from Mernickle.
Hope al have a great range day!

I hear you Gene. We've escaped winter mostly in Upstate NY. Last night made up for it. We were advised 6" to a foot of snow. We got a little over 6" of wet, heavy snow. I just got in from snow blowing the driveway.

It's nice to have the range close to the house. I'm ready for Spring too. I'd rather mow the lawn than snow blow. More seat time.
