Tac, in the 30-30

Picked up a lb of Tac yesterday $40.60 otd. On another gun forum :o someone mentioned it as an alternative to 3031.
Although it is down the burn a tad, I thought I would give it a try. Especially at the price and I haven't seen 3031 in a little bit. I do have one lb plus maybe half of another.
Tried my favorite 3031 load, not bad then I backed it down a little. I know, I know that's not the proper way, but it's what I did.
It's showing promise, and I will work with it some more and see.

Hmm. Wouldn't have thought of TAC for 30-30, but, that 28.4 load sure shows promise. Not bad Randy!

I bought a pound of TAC for .30-30 when I couldn't find any more Lever. I haven't tried the TAC yet. But my prep notes show I was going to start with 29gr behind a 150gr RN Hornady bullet. Thanks for showing TAC has promise.

I saw it mentioned on castboolits, a couples years ago.
Then over on Marlinowners again last week.
And I just happened to stop by one of the places I buy loading components from yesterday.
It was there and cheap enough, worse comes to worse it'll work in the 223/556 loadings.
Some mentioned using it in 30-06 and the 444 of all things, ;)
