Rang in the new year this morning at the range. My little 8" steel gong took a .50 cal beating.
28F, a little breezy and the range almost inaccessible due to drifted snow, but got in and got out!
50 yds off hand, Frontier flintlock
50 grains Goex 3fg powder
.480 ball, .015 patch
Missed the steel 2 times out of the bunch, not bad for an old guy.

That's the perfect way to ring in the new year. Start it off with a clang, Good shooting RR.

Born 100 years to late. Nothing like a rock lock and the smell of the black. Nice shooting RR
