Testing new 6 inch plate target.

While shopping at my LGS I saw these 6 inch swinging plate targets for sale. At $ 24 bucks not bad at all for a quick target to set up.
I don't think it is AR 500 steel judging from the file test but it took 16 yd 45 ACP hits without dimpling the steel and it did swing completely around.
Also I wanted to test out the Banish 45 silencer in it's shorter 6 1/2 inch configuration rather than the usual 8 1/2 inch length on my Ruger 1911.
Well it was just a bit louder than I wanted for no ear protection and the hits on target were in same area whether with the silencer or without.

My opinion the silencer works the best full length and when screwed on to a Henry 45 lever rifle. The rifle stays much cleaner with no blowback particles on the shooter. Put it back to full length and back on the 45 X model which I like!

Nice 16 yard shooting! I’ve thought of getting a couple silencers.

Nice! I like shooting steel a lot more than punching paper.
I shoot my 45 at an 8” plate at 25 yards off hand. Shoot the same plate 100 yards with my rifle off hand. It helped me with hunting where I seldom have that “perfect” shooting position.

They work the best with subsonic ammo and .45 Colt fits that perfectly along with a nice chunk of lead going down range.

The Henry X 45 is VERY quiet with typical standard Colt loads and quieter than my Hi Point 45 ACP carbine with the silencer on it.
