80 yd. plinking with Ruger Alaskan 45 Colt........

This from 2018 that I videoed on my Ipad. Found it and had to copy it from my computer monitor so sound clarity not the best.

My Ruger Alaskan shooting my 45 Colt 255 gr. Xtreme plated loads using Unique. The white tombstone gong down in the woods was fun to hit 2 maybe a third time. The Alaskan is a good shooter.

That's great shooting. I have a snub nose Charter Arms 38 Special and I'd be lucky to hit it from 10 yds.

I really couldn't see it well enough.
But I know how you shoot. ;)
I have shot my 6.5" 41 BH off the patio to the gongs 46ish yds.
But it's been a while, but 85 :o I'm gonna need some practice time.

That is fantastic shooting at 80 yards. I know people that couldn’t hit it at 8.

I know why they call that an Alaskan. Good shooting as always. 😊

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

Thanks guys! I want to try that again with my Ruger 1911 Cmd with the suppressor on. That shoots same POI with or without it attached and maybe just for grins that little Fat Boy BBR 1911.

I always had wondered if it was the short barrel or me but I've seen other people that have pretty good results with other brand short barrel revolvers. I think maybe part of my problem with my Charter Arms is it's very small grip. I had a Springfield XDS that I also wasn't very accurate with. I'm a decent shot with my other handguns.

Yep grips do have an effect on how well you can shoot.

So I get home from work and while looking on the interweb with an old rerun of Law and Order in the background when I hear the character Lenny Brisko say “here it is, a 38 Charter Arms Undercover.”

0 times since 1990 have I heard anyone mention this weapon and here it’s twice in a week? Weird.
