Quick test of BE-86 powder in 44 Magnum

Loaded up a few rounds to try the BE-86 powder and compare it to my Unique loads. Bullets used were the Matt's Bullets 230 SWC with gas check and
the Xtreme 200 gr. RNFP plated which shoots well in the Uberti 1873 Winchester. The Anaconda would be shooting the 230 bullets and also some of the 200 gr plated loads.
I used 9.0 gr of the BE-86 which is same amount for my Unique load which shoot very well. At 10 yds for the revolver and 25 for the rifle the results not too bad. The rifle seemed to like the BE-86 load and the same 9 gr. load with the 230 gr RNFP not quite as grouped together when shot thru revolver. All revolver shots were double action type.
Now some of that revolver result could have been me as it was a bit chilly today at 43 F but I think BE-86 can work just as well as Unique for my plinking loads. Might bump the 230 gr. load up a bit and see if there is any difference or I could go down 1/2 a grain.
