Range Report: choking up on paper

I shot my Henry SGC again today at paper at 25 yards. You can’t see all the holes in the target and some you can see are fragments coming back. I didn’t measure the actual target however I measured one inside and guessed my group was about seven inches. I knew when I was shooting I was off. I just couldn’t get the timing right because I was trying too hard.

At least it got me out of the house and moving around. Thanks Joanie for suggesting I put some paper up. The temperature is in the high 30’s with no wind.

No big deal, just get out and shoot and have fun. Just glue your shooting eye on that front sight and keep it there, no matter what. Everything else will take care of itself.

I tried again and concentrated on my timing discipline. The target is a 50 yarder so my group appears better than I actually shot.

Still a 3.81” group was a big improvement.

On a side note the target was stapled higher on the cardboard and I didn’t have any splatter back.

Definitely an improvement. Good work.
