I've done it, too, on a couple of my new Smiths that I used for target work, but with caution about light strikes and slowing down lock time too much. No need to do that on almost all my new Smiths I've bought, though, since I have been very fussy about testing the triggers on all my Smiths before buying and taking one home. And yeah, some of the newer Smiths I've tested had horrible, inexcusable triggers, though most of the new ones have been decent. Pretty rare to find a bad trigger on the vintage stuff, though.
