New 45 side gate

Post by Centaur » Tue Oct 04, 2022 3:43 pm

Took my new rifle to the range, but first installed a Skinner peep on it. After about 10 rounds at 25 yards, it was hitting where it was supposed to, so I backed up to 50 and let fly. I’m on target now, and the rifle shoots and cycles great; very little recoil, just pure fun to shoot. I’m going to like it!

And that's the way it ought to be. Those .45 Colt's are it!

Yep the 45 Colt and 357 Henrys are some fun in pistol caliber and congrats on your new one! Centaur do you reload your ammo?

Zeroing a firearm can be fun or flustrating.

Congratulations. The 45 Colt is very addictive round. I have 2 levers in 45 Colt plus a Ruger Blackhawk and I'm still thinking about adding another lever. You just can't have too many.

Congratulations on your 45. Have shot mine just a bit since I was not able to find ammunition I was willing to pay for. When I get done with my 357 loading project I will do some 45. Glad you like your new rifle.

Ernie, the handloading going good? Going to try and finish off some 30-30 tomorrow.

Handloading is OK, have not had a problem yet. Just have not tried anything except 357. Figured out my LabRadar Chronograph. Now I need to get to the range more and expand my operation.
